Amanda Brugel
Pointe Claire in Montreal's West Island is a small, little town that is a bit sleepy. The West Island has a lot of diverse communities. Many who've never known about it may mistake it for a separate island facing west. Amanda Brugel grew up on the island and is often called her birthplace. It is true that she was there for a brief time. Brugel was raised in Courtice, just outside of Oshawa. The first goal she had was to become a dancer, however a rapid growth rate meant that she literally outgrew the dancers she was with. The Toronto Star article revealed she's 6 feet 1 inch tall and has heels. When I reached the height of my male counterparts and stopped dancing, I quit. A lot of former dancers go on to act. In Brugel's case it was the guidance of her drama teacher at high school that led her in the direction she wanted. A teacher suggested that she try out for a school play.
